Cameron Fergusson is now part of our teaching staff, offering one on one and group lessons to beginner and developing player abilities. Cam is an Apprentice Professional with the PGA of Canada. Cam, the son of a teaching professional, is revisiting his roots of playing competitive golf through his junior years and learning from his father as he managed various courses including SSIGC in the 80’s and 90’s. Cam brings his years of golf experience into his offerings, is a supporter of our developing juniors in both the high school program and our younger age group. Cam’s thoughtful and kind way of teaching will help beginner to advanced players find direction in their improvement of the game. For over 2 years, Cam has been a welcome addition to the Salt Spring Island Golf Club teaching program and we support him in his continuing process to become a Class A professional through the PGA of Canada.

Isaac Weintraub  is now the director of instruction at a course in California and tries to get back to the island to offer lessons briefly in the year to stay in touch with longtime students and members he has worked with in the past. Isaac has worked at several top golf courses in the world, including the Pasatiempo Golf Club, Los Angeles Country Club and Augusta National Golf Club, home of the Masters Tournament to gain knowledge and understanding of the game from all sides. Isaac will teach and train golfers on means to enjoy the game more and improve their golf game through practice and physical training. It’s been a pleasure to have Isaac at Salt Spring Island Golf Club from 2019-2021 and we look forward to him visiting in future.
